Totoka Islands Ltd: Pioneering Sustainable Development
Totoka Islands Ltd, a privately owned company registered in Fiji since 2012, is leading efforts in sustainable development, focusing on reforestation, forest stewardship, and integrated property development in remote areas of Fiji.
With over FJD 50 million invested in property development projects, Totoka Islands Ltd is committed to environmental responsibility and supporting local communities. A significant achievement is the discovery of a high-quality water source in the Ba region, leading to the launch of AQUAM INSULA sparkling water, bottled in eco-friendly glass and produced in a solar-powered facility. This sustainable product uses reusable hardwood crates and upcycles empty bottles into building materials, contributing to a circular economy.
Totoka Islands Ltd also plays a key role in environmental preservation. Its forests remove 24,000 tons of carbon dioxide annually, reinforcing the company’s dedication to carbon negativity and climate action.
In addition, Totoka Islands Ltd now operates commercial barging services using its ex-navy barge to address sea logistics needs across Fiji’s more than 300 islands. This expansion reflects the company’s adaptive approach to business while maintaining its commitment to sustainability.
Totoka Islands Ltd remains a leader in sustainable practices, setting an example for businesses striving to balance development with environmental responsibility.
