Totoka Islands has just received a 4 t electric forklift for the timber yard at Drasa.
The machine handles logs and sawn timber without diesel. With it in service, the whole timber yard is now a fully solar-powered production site: it consumes zero fuel and is 100% run on sustainable energy from our off-grid solar plant.
The three sawmills, the drying kiln and the planing machine were already on solar power. The electric forklift closes the last fuel-using step in the yard.
