Totoka Islands has completed its 500 kWp off-grid solar power plant at Drasa, together with a 1 MWh battery bank.
The plant now runs three sawmills, a planing machine and the timber drying kiln without connection to the grid.
The battery bank stores daytime generation so milling, planing and kiln-drying can continue after sunset and through cloudy weather.
